A reminder and learning about subconscious wisdom and how we can transform blockages into freedom
2023 A Journey into Subconscious Wisdom
Today, I want to share a personal coaching session with you. I hope this story both offers you insights and demonstrates one way a transformational session can unfold in the subconscious mind, often revaled with visions (though there are countless possibilities). This is based on the TPLC (transformational presence leadership coaching) coaching approach, which I practice as a coach.
In this session, I am the one being coached by my wonderful coach Nat from my international coaching network. My intention is to dive deeper into my subconscious (which often communicates through images and symbols) and uncover layers of self-limitation, so I can live even more fully.
Lately, I’ve felt recurring thoughts that prevent me from finding true peace, especially during meditation. I’ve been restless and distracted over the past few weeks, with thousands of thoughts coming up. I haven’t been able to direct that energy into focused action. Together, Nat and I begin the process of exploring within.
I envision a boiling pot around my neck and throat, brimming with creative energy, as if the lid is about to fly off and release everything. (The throat chakra, among other things, is about expressing one’s truth.) As I explore this image further, I sense it represents my authentic power and my soul’s mission, just waiting to burst forth.
I am here to bring to the world, and it needs to flow in alignment with my soul and the rhythms of life.
As above, so below. As below, so above.
I feel a pressure around this pot, holding the lid down—a stressful energy filled with thoughts, emotions, and distractions.
Nat asks, “What if you opened the lid?”
Immediately, I feel a flash of fear. A fear of pain, rooted in past-life memories of punishment for my skills and wisdom. There’s fear of failure, fear of rejection, shame, blame, anger, sorrow. This restless energy has kept me distracted recently, afraid of the powerful energy, potential, and high-frequency expansion held in that boiling pot.
I’m shown a vision of different parts of myself from past (or parallel) lives—lives where I had skills and wisdom but was held back by punishment, rejection, or fear. These personalities sit in a dark, damp dungeon, trapped by fear and disconnected from light. From my current awareness, I reach out to them. I tell them I’m ready to open the lid, live my soul’s path, and be free. Their time in the dungeon has ended. I offer them to walk out into the light.
These figures are hesitant, scared, unsure if they will be safe. So, I project an image of what awaits—a life filled with gratitude, joy, synchronicity, where we heal, feel, and serve both people and the earth. I show them the happiness, freedom, and beauty waiting for us, inviting them to join.
Gradually, one figure moves to open the door slightly, allowing a stream of light to pour in. As the door opens further, each figure shields their eyes and steps out, hesitantly but willingly, into the light. Some smile, some cry, some laugh and hug. I am smiling too…
My higher self reveals to me that, like in a fairy tale, the veil has lifted. Fear had kept these parts of me blind, but now, in the light, they see clearly and reawaken to their gifts, remembering who they truly are.
Gently, Nat guides me back to my inner awareness.
As I tune inward, I feel calm, grounded, and yet powerful. The boiling pot now simmers at a steady heat—a comfortable warmth, brimming with nourishing ingredients. I can choose which flavors to savor and share, one by one.
I am the one who controls this heat, increasing it with passion or decreasing it for peace. The lid is free, with no pressure holding it down. When the time is right, I’ll lift it and let each unique flavor emerge, channeling my energy into action. I feel relieved, grounded, calm, and filled with a new excitement and curiosity.
This is how a coaching session can emerge from the wisdom of the subconscious.
By acknowledging and releasing the fears and past experiences that hold us back, we open ourselves to live fully and align with our soul’s path.
Our ego often fears our greatness, because it asks us to take responsibility, to stand out, to speak our truth, to take action, to lead, and to be visible. And yet, embracing courage—facing fear and stepping forward—is worth it every time.
I am deeply grateful for this journey of growth and self-discovery.
